Qb TESTING

Qb TESTING

  • The work environment and everyday living can be a daunting experience where individuals who have certain undiagnosed conditions may not be able to achieve and perform to their full capacity. Extensive research has identified that more and more adults are now exhibiting behaviours commensurate with this condition.

  • Individuals now have the opportunity to be tested.

  • The Qb test is a diagnostic screening tool which provides information to aid the assessment of ADD/ADHD. Qb testing is an objective test that can be used in the assessment of ADD/ADHD and for the evaluation of different treatments in patients with ADD/ADHD. The test involves motion tracking systems and computerised tasks that requires continuous attention and impulse control. As a result, the tests provide data on all core signs of ADD/ADHD: hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention.

  • Qb Testing does not eliminate the condition but will give an understanding on how best to proceed if an individual has ADD/ADHD. Procedures can be put into place to help and assist an individual with this condition and manage ways forward.

  • Whereas Qb testing might not be a service which is readily available on the NHS, a privately funded Qb test can be used and provided to NHS clinicians who will then be able to advise on treatment and ways to best manage this condition going forward.
  • This service is only available to individuals over the age of 16 years.
